look to be the same as mine which were 2001 if I remember correctly.

It usually sits at the front of the bike holding the wheel in place.

I like them. Light weight do the job. Not for big down hill stuff. I have had this fork from new, used it hammering around London for years and it has been fine....never needed servicing. One chamber looses air slightly over very long periods.
