And she will be built up, parts are amassed, just need to decide on the forks. Would love some syncros of course, but I've not got that kind of money, so was thinking of going crazy and running law will leader forks on it.

Now I didn't realise that the finish was supposed to be dull Alu, and was going to polish to a shine, should I do this? Oh, sorry for the thread hijack btw.

Don't go Syncros, the 92 wasn't designed for it, it was designed for 2" travel forks (so they say)
So... Go Crazy muHAHAHAHHA

Polish, sticker and clearcoat it! it'll go dull in time anyway.
Sounds like a plan, I may start today a I have the day off, but I need room to store it once it's built as there is no more room in the shed.

I'd polish mine if it wasn't the fact that I have the original decals on them and it look funny. But yes, like FC says, if polished uncoated Alum oxidizes and looses it's luster over time.

Thanx guys !! I looked at some pic's in your links and see it's a 1992. Or at least the same stickers as on RockiMtn's Cirrus... the black with the white shadaw behind it...

I still couldn't make some pictures, but I'll start a build thread a.s.a.p.

I've decided to build it up with as may parts I have already, since it should be a rider a.s.a.p. I'll go for a Manitou EFC in front and lots of Shimano XT parts. For the seatpost and stem I'm looking for some Syncros parts. Perhaps over time it will change more and more to the original 1992 specs, but not for the near future.. That will be a great challange: to NOT go for original spec's in first place !! ...the difficult side of being a perfectionist.. :?

...and for now... PM Gil_M for some stickers and..... of to grinding and polishing again... what a job... doubting about taking an other hobby since I started with that
