What year did Trek buy out Klein?

Klein owned them by 96 I'm sure. I believe they bought them in late 95 but didn't have a chance to alter things except in a cosmetic way for the 96 year. The 97 model year is the first year where the term pre-trek Klein became relevant.

TREK bought KLEIN in 1995, Klein moved into the Wisconsin Trek factory from Chehalis in Feb 2002

Thanks for the info.

I picked up a 98 Pulse Pro (to be used as my Pub Crawl / City bike) and someone at a bike shop had asked me if it was a pre or post Trek frame. Told them it was probably a post Trek one but was not sure.

Was Trek simply doing the financing or doing the actual frame building?...or just on certain models?

IIRC did they not lose the internal cable routing when trek took over???
