Rant over

If you have a written contract and in that contract it states when you should be paid then he may be in breach of said contract. Thus you could remind him of this and if this does not lead to a satisfactory outcome then seek legal councel.

The above advice sounds wise.

It may be worth considering if there might be a delay in payments leaving your employees account and reaching yours. Transfers between banks have improved massively in recent years but they are still a little variable. Especially worth noting in light of the recent RBS software upgrade glitch that affected many transfers in and out of its customers accounts.

How late is late?.
If it's hours or even a day then it's probably tolerable.
How big is the company?, I know it shouldn't matter but how you deal with the boss/owner would be different to a large corporation.

If he is dodgy I would also get quickly onto National Insurance to make sure he has been paying in his contributions.
It's not uncommon for them to deduct them and then *cough* forget to pay them to NI. A pal got stuffed like this with 10 years of NI payments - not a trivial sum. By the time he had found out the company was bust and the money gone. Be warned.

I would firstly check the matter quietly with him. If he's using RBS / NatWest then it may be out of his hands. However, as you say this is not the first time I would be looking for a new job, frankly. But check that NI first.

Got to the office an hour ago asked him about wages hes not done it yet this is turning into a disaster zone and I'm getting annoyed now and too top it off he wants chat about salary before I go

I've got an interview coming coming up very soon fingers crossed i get it as theres other problems here too
