What we used to wear.....

i will own up to owning and wearing:
bright yellow cinelli shirt
a bandana i rode in all the time
pair of pink and grey vittoria cycling shoes

I have memories of a pair of pink Muddy Fox shorts and several other purple/turquoise/yellow Lycra offerings that in all honesty I'd rather forget.

Also a propensity for vest tops. :?

I still ride every time with either a bandanda or Camelback "Hydrate or Die" sweat band

I've still got all my Pink, Green, Yellow etc. shorts and jerseys. The trouble is that now I'm riding a lot more (and therefore losing weight) I'm becoming able to get into them again.

Perhaps we ought to make next year's Hope meet a 'Fluo Day'!

Cringeworthy clothing

This is rather like a confessional; forgive me for I have sinned....

My favourite riding gear was a Tour de France commemorative jersey (the one that had one quadrant yellow, another green, another polka dot etc) and a pair of flouro pink lycra shorts (very comfortable Swiss make - 'Blackie' I think). Got the latter from a shop in Coventry run by an ex pro who also organised Sunday morning rides. Somebody here may remember who it was?

Always wore a bandanna as I only have to look at the bike to start sweating. It was the only thing that stopped me from being blinded by the sweat pouring down my face :(

Thankfully, as I mostly rode alone I don't think there will be any photos :)
