What vintage GT is this

This is the fork that came with the bike.

Is it original? Not much movement left in it, can't I'd the model either ? Anyone?

I don't want to put this back on weighs a ton

If you want to keep the Judy's and run the original front canti (probably best as you keep matching lever/shifters, and original brakes), just get a steerer mounted canti stop and use it in place of one of the spacers under the stem

I think this would work , and its only $10

Will mount through the hole in the top of the arch I presume , just with a shorter bolt?

In GT sizing that would be a 16" frame.
For whatever reason GT measured from BB centre to top tube centre just to be different.

Speaking from experience...there was No such thing as an "original" paint scheme Zaskar as none of the "originals" were ever sold painted. Ball Burnished or anodized colors only. First anodized frames were done in mid 92 and the anodized frames first appeared in a catalog for the 93 model year. The original ano colors in 93 were turquoise(aqua), purple and black. Ink Blue and Purple/BB fade were added in 95 and Red in 96. The frost ano (flat) in red and blue are from the 97 model year. The first painted Zaskar happened in 98.

The Zaskar was also available as a black powder coated frame only option in 1997.
Although not strictly paint, it was an example of an alternative to ball burnishing and anodizing.
