wow is it that old 92?? how can you tell?

Sorry if anyone else has said this already. Obvious sign of a Zaskar / Pantera is the flat end cap on the top tube. Sign of early 90's is the big fat gusset being under the top tube - moved to downtube later on. Another useful sign is the rear brake changed to standard canti mounts later :)

well its all covered in paint, so it doesn't really matter which one you use... but the top on is 96, the bottom one 94 i think, maybe 93... but the one i posted is the 91/92 era (even though the actual pic is of a 2008 frame), but you get the idea.
I'm sure they would pop up on ebay eventually, or you gould get Gil_m on here to make them... in any colour you want.

We have decide its a zaskar and not a pantera yeah?

Sorry wasn't implying anything, just that we;re all assuming zaskar, whcih from the serial # it looks like. Just nothing definate, went from is it, to it is...

Yes it is! 0392 march 92 , I might get the above 95-96 decals , it not like the color is original anyway.

Can the canti- levers works with vbrakes?

work? yes. well? no. you can get on of those little rolla-ma-jig thingys that pull more cable, but I don't recallt hem working too well.

no, V brakes have a different cable pull, and they require specific V brake levers.

normal cantilever levers will give a very mushy and incredibly vague feel to the V brake, if used.

personally..i would run cantilevers on the front, that way both your levers will be the same (the rear u brake can't be changed of course)
