What to do with a Dogs Bolx

keep and ride!!

Its lovely, you WILL regret selling, especially as it was made for you.

No brainer

Have to agree with every one else, If you've got the space and are not stuck for moneys. Ride and enjoy it  BUT if your going to sell it I'm sure some one on here would give it a loving home (me me me  ) Its a nice classic British bike and would be well sought after. Now get out on your next local retrobike ride now you've found us

God that's one nice bike :D

Definatetly worth keeping and riding even if it's just a few times a year in the summer/dry conditions!

I'm guessing, that you may be looking for tempting offers by your post (just my opinion), but as already said unless you need the cash, keep it. One day you'll have the enthusiasm to get going on it again, maybe refurbish it - you'll regret it if you sell!

16 1/2" for your height! hmm well, it's the way you like it, that's the whole point of going custom. I've just specced one at 17" centre to top, and I'm barely 5'8", and I was starting to worry that I may be going a little on the small side!

So, your early DB is pre 853, and with the no longer available Columbus Max down tube - I think I'm turning into a geek!

No you're not! I think Columbus Max is still available in small quantities, was until quite recently anyway. And his top tube is also Columbus Max I believe. And his 16.5 is c-c, so his c-t must be c18.5.

Geek indeed  ;)

Woodsman,

You have me well.

I don't get to ride it and have other interests that keep me a bit busy. You guys are helping make my mind up and helping me know what market value may be. If it did go, at least here it would go to a good home here.

The 16 1/2 is the BB centre to top tube centre and works on the lowest frame I can get under me. The DBs low top tube is really noticeable when I get on another bike. It's really easy on technical stuff, a great XC bike. 1994 was smaller frames, and hunched up making bar ends madatory on flat bars as I remember. No sit up and beg full-sus stuff.
