Thanks Gaz!

I haven't been online here since Tuesday lunchtime.

Yep poor form on my part - been sloppy in posting a few bit. Usual excuses but everything will go tomoroow (to Mikee, andrew and michael)

I was confused by Mikee's quite above and had to look back at my sent items. I can only explain it as the work of a 22 month old. Literally. I'm usually a little more eloquent. I'm not suprised Mikee saw it is antagonist - I would too given I'd not read his message for 4 days. Anyways Mikee and I have bounced messages and I hope I've resolved with him. Sorry Mike.

my tuppence worth, i have sold a good few bits and pieces here, they are usually listed at weekends and I wait until i have a number of bits to post until making the trip to the post office which itself can be hard to get to due to work, i work full time and have a young family and outside interests, like to ride at weekends etc but post as soon as i can, this can means some people get their bits right away and others may wait a week.

I do sometimes get the feeling that people are a bit narked having to wait a week, as they dont leave feedback, i think people need to understand that when people sell ,they do not do it as a business, or because they want money, when you take into account postage , packing trip to p.o and time spent doing this, listing packing, cleaning there is no profit, its about fun, postage and packing is usually included in the price here, sell an item for a £5 say, £2-3 postage, money for fuel and packing bits, means you sell the item for pennies all told,
I have had bits arrive next day others i have waited for, its all the same to me, i appreciate that people who sell on here are not CRC, or Ebay sellers , its about good faith and Karma. If someone wants something really quick, then they should say and pay for next day recorded delivery.
I appreciate it can be frustrating when you need a part, but the site runs on good faith and karma i think,

i agree with the communication thing too, but... I have had messages after two days saying where is my item, some i have ignored because my only response would be an expletive laden "give us a chance", friendly and diplomatically worded ones i will answer, give a date and let people know when it has been posted, it can be a nightmare sending big items abroad, when couriers let you down and you have had to use a days AL to send it anyway, so it works both ways

just my thoughts ;)

Fair enough charlie but in the end if you communicate when things will arrive or if there is delays, then most folk would be happy- radio silence is never a good thing. as orange says comms comms comms!

i agree, but my feedback is probably about 25% of what i have actually sold here, i rarely get told something has arrived and people are happy even though i pride myself on my honesty, provide detailed pics and descriptions and i have never had an item not reach its destination, and feedback has to be chased up more often than not too, communication really does work both ways ;)

I'm with this....

If I'm getting a little stressed about the time something's taking to come I send a pm asking when it's been posted.. don't care much how long it takes as long as I know roughly when to expect it..

I rely on the missus to do the p.o. run and she can be a bit stubborn and will only endure the trip once a week.. sometimes things take a bit of time but try to stay in touch with t'buyer.. as has been said (time and time again)... comms is the key

surprized at this Kev is a founding member- is john involved seems like a strange one given all the good feedback he has had- poor form really.

Kevin is not a founding member. I am not involved, hard for me to be involved with something about which I know nothing. If people wish myself or the other moderators to act best they contact us directly. Looks like this is all sorted which is good.

As for the original post I'm unclear as to whether their situation has been resolved. However if he / she had read the guidance they would note a) we recommend you do not use paypal gift and b) we ask people contact the mods before such an 'outing thread'.

Going to lock this. If people have genuine concerns regarding transactions please get in touch.

And please use the feedback forum!
