Re:
My tuppence, for me retrobiking is still healthy, although i'm not as active on the forum as i once was and the place is definitely quieter
My garage is full to busting with bikes and bits, to a point where bikes are getting scuffed and scraped which i hate, 4 or 5 bikes yet to build, and all the parts already acquired but so little room to build in, so not buying and selling at the frenzied rate i once was
I cant bear to get rid of any of my bikes, and happy with my collection which will continue to expand just more slowly.
I have built 3 or 4 or more bikes in the last 12 months, none of them really retro, though all steel hardtails and i seem to be moving more towards late nineties and noughties.
Work , children and various unexpected life events makes getting to rides difficult at times, but i have probably done more miles on the turbo and towpaths than i have for a long time.
many other reasons why the place has quietened down a bit have been said.
i have made some great mates through here, and when i do venture further afield i will meet up with them
americans, shenanigans , blah blah blah
oh and the guvnor not turning up for rides
