My other question is if a Yo is more desirable than a Ti Fat, does that mean that we feel that paint is more important than metal? That looks are more important than function?

That's assuming that Ti is superior. As a material Ti does have some superior properties when compared to chromoly, but as a matter of ride quality it becomes an issue of (discriminating) rider preference.

Ti is bling, but STEEL IS REAL!

for me it has to be a honda.

there, i said it. i know its not retro but it really pulls my strings. i got so excited when they talked about doing a production run. then mourned for days when hrc announced they had packed it in.

i feel so lost now.

Why are steel stumpjumpers rare? Explosifs come up all the time, and surely they sold at least as many Stumpjumpers as Explosifs. Do Stumpjumpers rust or something? Surely nobody would just throw one away, so where are they all I wonder?

I don't think steel Stumpjumpers are rare and, much like you, expected there to be quite a few around. But they never seem to turn up as often as Explosifs and I haven't even had a sniff in my search hence elusive

There is one in my dad garage but I leave it there for when I am in france .

Please don't tell me it's a 21"!

no it is a 17 or 18 , black paint with red and violet decals . full DX groupset .
funny enough his neighbour has one too , a pink one , same as Wu , with manitou 1 forks . he uses it once a day to buy his baguette and newspaper , it is immaculate .
