What oldish full Suss frame to pair with 120 tapered forks?

Hi,

I fancy a new project and a return to 26" wheels. I have pretty much a complete bike in spares bin apart from the frame.

Minimal budget so wondering what classic full suss frame from early 2000's might suit the build? Thinking perhaps Cannondale Jekyll or Prophet SL as they have the chunky dale head tube. More recent giant trance?

Any other contenders I should be looking out for?

Ps if anyone has something gathering dust in the cave I'm looking for large or XL frame size.

I could see a headshock working (i guess) with a tapered fork...but pretty sure nothing else from around 2000 would fit... dunno, when did they start with the tapered. Tapered is 1-1/8 to 1-1/2 right?

Yeah, it's a recent fork. To be honest I just want a cheapo play bike hence looking for older frame. I still think a Jekyll might be my best option as think Patriot might be too much travel. Thanks all

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think you'll have to stick with Cannondale, as they were the only ones with big enough head tubes for the 1/2" that the tape reds are, with their Headshok system. I may be wrong though?

If you go down the Cannondale route I'll be interested in seeing what headset you use as I have a Super V with fox vanilla's fitted but may look to use a tapered fork in the future.

You can get away with any of the 130mm frames for 44.1 integrated headsets if you use the 44.1-oversize external Cup from Hope.

Cotic and Sobre among others are using this system....
