They are not XC 51 forks,they are XC 700 forks which are way way better.If original to the bike it would date it circa 1996.

Hmmmmm, I'd be more inclined to think Saracen judging by the top tube/seat tube junction :? Defo not a Kona though.

That top tube looks like it is ovoid - vertical at the head tube and horizontal at the seat tube

Saracen frame and style, even the bi localised style they used (style pinched form maxOS on their top end frame iirc)
