What is this? SORA M3400

I bought a sora 3x m3403 crankset on eBay and this came with it, I’m not familiar with them as there isn’t one on my 2x sora crankset m3400 or my xt or xtr hollowtech 2 cranks either

Is it a magnet for ebike conversions?

Dont think so, anyone else seen anything like this on hollowtech II cranks before?

It’sa spacer, goes on the axle between the crank arm and bb. Some set ups seem to need it, others not.

Deore 12 speed cranks I bought recently came with two of them and the axle is too long without them but they’re larger in dia than the bb I’m using and look stupid so I’ve stuck a spacer behind the bb cup in the nds instead.

I’d assemble your bb and cranks and see if you need it and go from there.

It seems to fit fine without it, so ill keep it off, but ill post some pictures later (few days) see what you lot think
