That's wireless enough for me

Apparently they're working on an 'SRAM Killer' road group set which is running electric disc braking wireless. Whether that's electric assistance or fully uncabled I don't know. But I would be fair shiting myself lolling down an Alpine descent at 100km/h and trusting my life to a Bluetooth connection....

Thinking about that pesky cable routing to the rear brake, would anyone consider a wirelessly operated rear brake? Apparently Shimano are way ahead of us:

Looks more like the electronics would control modulation or similar rather than actuating a solenoid.
Might be more like a car brakes when the motor stalls.

I think it's probably some sort of servo assist, or perhaps braking recovery for the battery. Can't imagine it would be on/off braking...

But you never know....
