Can anyone tell me what grade of Titanium was used on a 93 Marin Titanium?

Where these made by Litespeed, Sandvic or someone else?

My colleague is repairing a cracked one and would appreciate this info ;)

MarinTI

Has to be 3AL/2.5V - 6AL/4V only really came into play on really high end stuff later in the 90s, and then generally only on the stays (depending on where the damage is).

Excellent

Yes, thats what we thought :D

The frame has cracked on the headtube/downtube weld and spread across onto the downtube!

It can at least have a weld put on it and used for pub runs etc

I believe they were made by litespeed but might be wrong? Yes they were 3/2.5 with 6/4 dropouts. Be careful welding Ti any oxygen in the weld will make it really brittle!

I thought Marin were one of the few to make their own ti frames, but I am probably wrong.
