A clean drivetrain with tidy cables.....it shows care and attention, and the fact that someone appreciates their bike and doesn't own a cool bike by default.....sad but true......I'm liking the positive vibe here too.....I'm off to deface the hate thread with needless and childish swearing..... .......see if I don't......

To me, other than showing that its a rider, as long as the colour scheme works then parts don't matter, and looking back at bikes I've owned then I've been guilty of the old colour clash, and probably only just got away with my parts choices on my a la carte because of the jelly beans

Obvious love for the bike.

Generally, it comes with a story along the lines of 'exact replica of the bike I raced in 92' or summat like that.

Attention to detail, and for me, OCD retro correctness.
