What did you do with the broken parts you couldnt just throw

I have a fairly rare ford rs 4 spoke in 7.5" that has a hefty dent and kerbing , unlikely to be used as a wheel again so one day will probably end up as a table or bolted to the wall to hold a hose or similar .

At work a xtr mech is used as a keyring . A couple of weeks ago I was going to cut the bottom bracket out of a broken carbon frame but couldn't be bothered with the effort or fetching it from the bin . Good fun seeing it get crushed in the vice though .

Well stripped my old wheels down & gave the Suntour hubs a very quick polish & am quiet pleased with the result :D

Back around 1977 and on for ten years, my 1960 VW van had a broken Campagnolo Nuovo Record road crank as the right inside door handle. All the inside paneling was Univega bicycle cartons, and insulation was rejected Skid-Lid helmet liner foam. There were bits and pieces from bikes all over that thing, like maybe a Mafac cable binder holding the throttle cable at the carb. It was the ideal support vehicle for transporting our Schwinn cruisers with TA crank ten-speed conversions, then later our Ritcheys and Salsas. Rear bumper was a wood 4x4 with a socket to screw in a shop stand.
