What can kill the looks of a bike for you?

people who ask you what gear are you in, and slow people, keep up or ill just see you at the end.

City bike accessories, like a handlebar bag, a kickstand etc.
If you need a city bike, then buy one. It will do the job better than a bodged MTB.

Red and yellow components, from the time when Rock Shox came in those colours and ALL component manufacturers followed suit. Reminds me of a "Chipperfields Circus" tent. Foul.

Stupid stems.
Flipped stem and riser bars, anyone?
How SJS Cycles sell these bodge-fitted monstrosities is beyond my understanding.

Right the gloves are off with the GT abuse!! :D

Building a bike to such perfection that you have no intention of actually using it offroad .... Buy a poster of it and stick it on the wall of your garage instead ... cheaper and less hassle

retro xc race bikes with baggy shorts...

lycra, especially on over weight middle aged men!

What we meant to wear a bloody tutu ?? :D

People who pop about wrong colour coordantion on bikes ?? Some of us are colour blind you know!! :D

Not quite on topic but feel much better :D

The small 14" Kona's look like DJ bikes, and the 20" look a little freakish with that giant HT.

This is a 20in, looks OK to me:

(apologies to the "modern parts on an old frame/mismatched stem and post/singlespeeded retro" dislikers ;-) )

tiny frame, too much post with bendy bars a raised small stubby stem ridden cross country and some sort of massive rucksack for a 1 half hour ride.

4-arm chainsets.

I don't know why, they just get my goat. Another case of Shimano deliberately trying to make stuff obsolete and so sell more todge.
