What can I get for £500?

Hi I'm new on here. Looking to get myself back into bikes,but ones like! Retro hard tails etc. I ve got about £500 to spend for now then more as I go on, any ideas what I could get? Thank fellas

Welcome to the forum,

For that sort of budget, you could get something really really nice on here...

What you'll need to do tho is roughly work out what sort of era you're looking to buy from, and concentrate on that. For example, later bikes from the mid-late 90's will have V-brakes/disc brakes, suspension and more gears.

And older stuff from earlier 90's and late 80's will have little or no suspension, nicer frame materials (IMO) canti or even U-brakes and mild to wild (inc. fluorescent) paint jobs..

is there any that you really like? that float your boat? perhaps a model you've seen on Retrobike before? or one you remember from years gone by?

have a good think about any bikes you'd like to/ have always wanted to own and go from there...

Thanks, well my last bike was a Kona (fire mountain maybe?) black with multi coloured flecks all over it mainly dark pink I put onza porcupines on it xt leavers and shifters etc I loved the thing! Maybe 96 ish? Think I'd be looking for no sus or just front? Mid 90's
