hey all

After selling and item to a retrobike member. usuall transaction. item payed for item shipped.

item was shipped on the 5th off may with a postal recite for postage

The item now has supposidly not arived and the retro bike memeber has filled a case against me on pay-pal saying that nothing has arived,

The member contacted me to which i sent pictures off the recite too. He ignored that message and decided to cause some trouble.

the site does not need folk like this but what can we do.

All the best

Doug

It looks like you'll have to claim off RM as LGF said. Standard insurance if you didn't buy any more is £35, I hope the item value isn't more than that. I've also recently read on here you may need to reciept of the actual item to sent to RM but i'm not sure how strict this is.

I agree with you though it's a bit harsh of the RB member to jump to paypal dispute so quick.

Claim off the royal mail if you have the receipt/ proof of postage and Paypal allow the uploading of evidence

Worked for me. Took a couple of months to get my money back. No need for people to get nasty.

Could it not be worthwhile for the forum (I know.. the guys already do an incredible amount) to do a little mediation??

They already do the 'bad seller' bit . . p'raps it could work in favour of the good seller too?

if you claim from the post office like i did then you have to wait 14 working days then start the claim back. Details on their web site. sending all details of what was sent . to who, etc

Im in the same situation with something posted (not bike related)

Royal Mail refuse to refund me because I dont have my original proof of purchase!!

Thank you for the advice folks.

This matter has now been resolved.

Good..

It's such a shame when things go wonky on places like this.. hiccups will, inevitably, happen but this is such a cool place it'd be a crying shame for a few to spoil the community feeling for the majority (seen it a few times, sadly)...
