What brake calipers to fit a Peugeot 501 frame?

Hello everyone,

I recently started building up my Peugeot Ventoux frame, for which I have a few RX100 components, including the brake calipers.
It was only when I went to fit them that I realized that the holes in the fork and frame don't take these calipers as the bolts on them are too short and thick. I had a pair of Weinmann 500 and they obviously fit fine, but they are in a bad shape and not really fitting with the rest of the components.
Do you know what calipers I could fit?
I tried googling "bike brake calipers with thin bolts" but, surprisingly, didn't come up with much :)

Thanks

Usually the back of the fork crown can be drilled 8.5mm iirc - get advice if you're not sure, but there's normally plenty of metal on the crown.

You can usually fit a front brake on the rear - I wouldn't drill that because the tube often isn't strong enough.

That way you can have decent modern brakes without paying £70 for the nutted twin pivot tektros.
