What are some options? Kona Lava Dome '94

Right now the Marzocchi XC51's are doing a fine job, but when the day comes that I want to upgrade the front forks what are some of my options?

I've been having trouble finding anything that fits the 1" (not 1 1/8") head tube diameter.

I'd like to be able to keep the canti brakes, or possibly upgrade to disc. I don't like linear (v-brake).

Will I be able to have spring or air? with rebound adjustment? Lock out?

Will I have to replace the entire headset as well?

I second this question; please double check.

Also, was this the one on ebay not too long ago?

Those forks work well, I would suggest having them refurbished, and keep using them.

it will be 1 1/8, keep it original, or try some manitou 3 or 4's

I didn't measure it myself, I was told this was the case by the local bike store owner who did some work on this bike for me.
I hope that you all are right! It would make this much easier.

I like the 51XC's, don't have any desire to replace them, just interested in my options... (I thought that I was extremely limited, appearently I was fed misinformation)
