Well ive entered into the world of Tandems, Pashley

Re:

You could look on the Sturmey Archer hub as they tend to have a date stamp on them, that'll give you a good idea of it's age.

Re:

The SA hub shell should have an easily decoded date showing month and year, assuming it is the original rear hub.

If those are chrome steel rims and a small rear hub brake then don't take it out in the rain.

Re:

Well ive picked the Pashley D Type Tandem up, i managed to get it in our Honda Civic, all i had to remove was the front seat from the bike,
Anyway got the bike home and gave it a good clean, then out came the polish wax and Autosol,
Im really pleased with the end result,
The bike was made in 1984 as identified from the date stamp on the Sturmey Archer Hub, on the seatpost the frame is stamped 52053, does anyone have any info on this?
As we stand im awaiting the arrival of a Dunlop tyre valve adaptor to put some air into the tyres, then itll me maiden voyage time,
ive taken some more pictures for you to view,

Re:

Very cool and it looks like an absolute minter!!

Hope the maiden voyage is a successful one.

I'm not familiar with the brand, so no help there, but I did pick up something similar recently, as I've always wanted to try a tandem, so I'm interested in your experiences.

After a couple of tries mrs non-fixie and I seemed to get the hang of riding A tandem, and managed to get a decent turn of speed out of it.

I'm currently rebuilding to an earlier spec, so we can take it to C&V rides.
