Take it to your local scrappy, they will have it out in a blink. Cheaply too.

I actually have an adjustable spanner which has locking jaws, similar to a mole grip action. Really useful as it does not slip, ever. Unfortunatley they don't go wide enough for the BB cup but would be ok if a small bar was welded to the BB instead.
