Weekend Activities - who, on what and where!

I'm going to put my Wifeport application in later, after she's has a couple of glasses of wine she'll say yes to anything!

Work on Sat morning (well, I will be going to work but will fanny about with bikes). Then will try and get an hour on the Frankenbike (my incredibly rough new single speeder :D ) then its up into the borders with the rally car for a hard night around the lanes chasing road rally championship points. That will keep me busy til breakfast and then its play happy families all day Sunday without falling asleep

So a quiet one for me!

Re. Chicksands Sunday

MadCowKev are you aware of the current state of the woods, they have been cutting down all of the large trees is some areas and completly trashing the fire roads everywhere else. To get to the 4X course from the main car park means a diversion via the trail at the bottom of the road from the car park entrance. The only parts of the wood that are untouched are the far side away from the main Bedford road.

hmm - so thats why the short course DH champs have been postponed to 30th March then. I was supposed to be riding. Is there enough worth riding or is it a non-starter? I could lead a 'Harlington' loop instead.....

Due to the de-forestation that the FC are currently performing at Rowney Warren the XC cycle routes are at this time officially closed until the work has been complete. The XC routes will be looked at and repaired / modified once the FC is finish and we will announce there re-opening when we are in a position to do so.

This Sunday I will mostly be cycling the start of the West Highland Way with a few buddies. Thats the bit with the smallest hills

It's still rideable, you just need to avoid the worst parts - 3ft deep rutts are not fun. Jango & I still ride there most Thursday nights so know where not to go.
