Wanted: Specialized Rockhopper Frame

Morning all,

Looking to take my first tentative steps into the world of mountain bikes.

Keen to track down a Rockhopper frame. Ideally from 1997. Steel and with a 1 1/8th steerer tube. 20" or 21".

Would love to hear about any combo of parts you might have.

i have a rockhopper believe it is a 98 not 100% sure its only a small frame though and no forks :/

I have a specialized M2 S-Works in your size. It is from 94 and is partially build. It only needs a fork.

If you're after any period components I still have the original Rockhopper wheelset from 1997, both wheels are in good condition, the hubs could do with regreasing. I also have the original 7 speed cassette in good condition as well as the original Specialized seat post quick release bolt. If you're interested I can send photos.

Almost forgot, I've still got the original Shimano STX rear mech from my '97 Rockhopper in good condition (no decal though)....

Oh, and the original '97 Rockhopper V-brake set (levers and calipers, front and rear). The levers have lost some of the paint.

I just sold a 19" but they do crop up fairly often just not in such big sizes.

How tall are you? I'm 6'4" and ridden 19" frames for a long time, I found 20-21" just too flexy and a bit unwieldy.

I have a 19" Specialized Rockhopper A1 (Aluminium Though) 1997 in blue.
Frame is in good condition - few chips and and scrapes but not too many. Original son of strong arm craks set
Original stx-rc front and rear mech
Original Grip Shifts (7 speed)
Original wheels with stx hubs
Original seat post and saddle
Original Specialized stem
Original specialized front tyre

Upgrades:
Rock Shox Judy XC Long travel (Cream and Red)
Blue LX V brakes
Blue Club Roost Go Fast Bars
Wellgo Platform pedals
Rear Tyre is a reasonably cheap BikeHut (Halfords) Kevlar Lined

Not sure I want to let it go because its my original mountain bike i bought when I left school in 97. My first true love! Will put some pics up tomorrow (Currently on night shifts). Probably completely overpriced but not sure I could let this go for anything cheaper that £350 ono. Otherwise I'd rather keep it.
