you are right they are old and crap compared to todays shocks,just wanted to

aye like a RS Quadra or Mag 21, so as not to upset the geometry (and they'll have a cable brake cable stop on the arch):

either that or just go rigid!

Either way, make sure you get correct type (do you need ahead or threaded?) and size (1" or 1 1/8"?)
