1940s Royal Savoy - 40€ looks like it can be saved. Cool name, 3 speed and side pull brakes.

1950s Vedette - 44€ a bit of TLC and looks good to go.

1930s ? Bonnefond - 120€ very incomplete, wood rims with steel inserts. Not a LED front light ;)

Price wise, it's not that easy; I'm in France and can pick-up bikes from this period from very lucky tip, house or charity finds for little money or spend in excess of 700 € for something rarer and in good condition. Personally I would say €200 is on the high side for a project bike, but then again I don't know what kind of values bikes are in Austria. For sure it's a pretty unique bike. Appears in almost ready to ride condition too, most likely nothing is seized.

I'd say If the headset, BB and brakes work fine enough, and structurally there is no really bad rust make an offer for 150 € and see what happens; with the economic crisis at the moment prices are generally very low. You can then make decisions about period correct or not, newer wheels, hub gears, saddle, cranks, freewheels, gears, etc. etc. later bit by bit.

@Guinessisgoodforyou & @M_Chavez - what would you say?

My pricing may be off, prices are all over the place here anyway. Between rural and city can make a 100€ difference at least.

I think it's worth an offer, as you say £200 is expensive for a project bike. Plus side it is quite unusual/unique.

I start reading that thread from the beginning and the more I dig into it the more I like the idea to lay my hands on a French bicycle - wether its from the 50s, 60s or 70s.

Unfortunatly in Austria French bicycles are rare - if you are looking for an old Puch or KTM, then you have the choice; but as with everything which has the label vintage on it, prices are also high. Compared to the Regor in the Austrian small adds, the ones on leboncoin which @Woz posted, looked way better and complete. I would not think twice if the Vedette or the Brival showed up here.

I'm going to contact the seller and see what is the overall condition of frame and moving parts, and especially about brakes, and then make him an offer what I think it is worth.
