My mark 2 version is less challenging without the happy stem and means thumb and forefinger shifts are possible.
But bar grip wrong size, needs packing out.

Have been sussing it out and although it is a good idea there is a gigantic but .............
The cables will snag the cantilever brake cable running down the head tube.
