The cassette is 10 speed and it would fit fine on the hg freehub
What is the specific model plz? M4100? I would be interested to make a custom cassette with it and want to check the tooth progressions. Are the larger sprockets all single or are a few of them fused together which I noticed seems to be common for the larger cassettes?

Regardless seems good price either way! I could just use the full cassette and set the derailleur to not change to the bigger ones if it couldn't take it.

It is a m4100. The 3 largest sprockets are mounted on a lightweight alloy carrier. The gear ratios are 11-13-15-18-21-24-28-32-37-46T. So has a bit of of a jump from 37 to 46. The Deore rear mech I used only went to 42t so I used upto 37t. I got the rear mech still, also new 1x KMC/1xshimano 10 speed chains

So, to clarify you can take the larger ones off one by one? I am not versed in the contemporary gear so have to explain in simple talk :).

If so that is good, as can use only what RD would handle and have the other bigger ones waiting in the wings if an upgrade of the RD comes in future.

I looked at the cassette and only the 9 and 10 are loose. Looking at the lack of information about what rear mech, seems like a slx m7000 or xtm8000 rear mech would work. Or possibly a wolf link/sunrace mech extender

Thanks, not appropriate for me then it seems as I wanted to put on a retro (90s) bike so seems a poor idea unless changing the whole drivetrain, which I had not intended on, rather keeping the stock RD for this bike.
