Combined derailleur hanger alignment and single speed conversion tool.

1. Screw threaded bit into hanger.
2. Smack the square bit around again until derailleur hanger is straight ...or shears off.
3. Say "I meant to do that."
4. Convert to single speed using eccentric hub.
5. Hang tool up using convenient cable loop.

After @Uncle Grumpy suggestions I'm thinking I could just leave my stupid multitool, tyre lever etc behind on todays ride and just take this.
Horses in distress, out-of-key kazoos, wind turbines and ped-cluttered trails can be dealt with as and when

But we'll see how it performs on the trek saturday

Okay. I'm keen to know how it works.

you wind it in to the snapped seat post (did I say you've got to snap the seat post?) use the little bit of wire to hang the bike of a tall triangle frame, start a fire under it and in no less 3 hours you have a seat post.

You lubricate it with the banana first. Then things start to get messy... Not sure admin will let @bikeworkshop upload of video of this in use!

part A where the wire is gets attached to the seat post, part by goes in to the towing eye fitting of your car.
then you drive round at 60 with frame dragging on the floor, after an hour, hey presto the seatpost is out.
