Hello there,

It's with some regret (and embarrassment  ), that I am offering for sale the amazing Clark Kent Cro-Mag frame that I bought from Slim Joe recently.

You'll probably know how rare this is - the Cro-Mag was the one steel frame in the CK line-up, and I doubt the production run was all that large. Welded by Don Herr, who I think went to IF subsequently when CK folded.

I'm not sure what the tubing is - probably something like Tange Prestige. It's beatifully welded and has neat features like the curved trademark CK stays and the large gusset under the downtube. It has a real boutique feel of something that has been made with real attention to detail. As you can see, Slimjoe had the frame professionally repainted with a really cool 90s'-style colour scheme and replacement decals lacquered in. I'm sure you'll agree that it looks fantastic. It's in near mint condition, with no dents and good threads and droputs (some minor scrapes on the chainstay).

Frame is 17" seat tube c to c and a rather long 23" top tube.

I don't really want to sell this, but needs must. I'm looking for £250 posted to your door. Please PM me with any questions, more pictures available on request.

many thanks, Jim

Thanks - it would look cool built up with shiny blue stuff. I should point out that the seat clamp is included, but the front mech isn't.

Hi, don't think it is a Cook bros, and would need to check that it did come with the frame before anyone got too excited. it's still a great frame though, with or without a Cook Bros clamp!

Looks like a nice Chris King 'no logo' Turquoise headset too, worth a fair bit I'm sure!

erm, that's not in the sale either I'm afarid. What's with you people? let's focus on the frame, not the dangly bits!

Like the look of that flooring too

funnily enough, that's in - genuine (Phil) Wood laminate ;) - joking of course.

Seriosuly though, I'd have to check, but let's assume that there are no components on the frame - I might be wrong about the clamp - there's definitely no headset and mech. added another pic by the way

cheers, Jim
