Unusual Selle Style Brooks Saddle, in Search of Info

A guy at another forum found this saddle. Brooks branded, but completely different from the traditional leather or cambrium kind. It is shaped like Selle.

I've never seen one like it, no results from goggle search. Selle bought out Brooks in 2003, is it possible they released some of their stuff with different branding?

I think you're probably right, bought the name, let's use it. Before realising that the Brooks brand on that style of saddle means nothing to anyone.
P.S. Selle Royal own Brooks along with Fizik and Crankbrothers. Selle Italia is another entity entirely.

Looks like an SR base - often the plastic base has a date and manufacturer info stamped in to it.

I can't imagine they have the machines to make this at the Brooks factory
