Unknown 50's or 60's lightweight frame

Hi i was just looking for a little help identifying an old lightweight frame i picked up years ago at the local tip.

It is very light (lighter than any 531 frame i remeber) and has unusualy thin rear stays.The steerer tube on the forks is marked as ackles and pollock so i guess the whole frame is ?

The bottom bracket shell is rgf but i dont have a clue about the rear dropouts altough they are quite distinctive.

There is a braze on for only one gear lever and it looks a little shorter that the ones you normally find.

The threads are english and the number 1003 is stamped on the bottom bracket shell.

Yep, they do I was thinking about a very early Mercian, they had those fluted seat stays too
