UNDER AGE DRINKING

Just saw 4 kids splitting 2 bags of booze up between them.....their ages prob.....15 13 11 9............the local shop seems to sell to anyone, they have been reported but their still trading.............should i just ignore it ( i used to drink under age , but not bloody 9 years old) ...or should i report it to the police or the council ???

while i was partial to a couple drinks in the park after school, the way they do it now is to cause trouble
(yes i did my fair bit, within reason of course, now adays its taken to far and usually their fun is assault)

Confiscate it if you can, and report it.

I am not against 'underage' drinking as such, as long as it is under supervision.

Something needs to be changed to stop this happening.

imagine what there home life is like if there getting drunk at that age.......

i started young, the odd can pre-teen years but never been a problem. even as an adult living in newcastle, party central, im only out every few weeks thesedays.

get onto your local beat cops and council.

Report it to the Police and your local licencing authority....if you can provide proof of where the booze was bought so much the better.
As a trade professional I am sick of this...licences are handed out far too easily.
I have been battling against a Spar shop just down the road from me who will sell booze to anyone irrespective of how drunk they already are or how old they are.
To be fair the Police are too as they have to deal with the end result..report report and report again until you are blue in the face.

it does work eventually, at my old house a guy opened up a small shop just selling drink........right opposite my living room window.

the noise and chaos each day was crazy....kids just walking out with huge bottles of wine!

he knew he would get shut down so didnt even try to hide it, it was like a quick few quid for him, and a few month of hell for the neighbours.

We've got this ridiculous notion in Britain that 'tolerance' is the moral thing, and intolerance is just the selfish response of Right-Wingers or the ill informed. Total cop out bullshit. We're all responsible for our societies issues; pointing the finger of blame, the 'them and us' / 'goodies and baddies' perspective is part of the problem. Do the right thing and report it (the shop).

*I used to drink like an alcoholic fish from the age of 13 and it did me no good at all -who needs to 'find' escapism through something so physically damaging as alcohol at such an early age. Same goes for weed; it's horrible seeing young kids wasted. We need to grow up as a society and take fuc**ng responsibility.

spot on there,participated in both and see only negative results. even more so now i lcture at college,we now have a generation of lazy tossers. its a shame but true, not all mind. some see the realisation and perks of a good future and will work hard. we could start a whole new thread on just this :roll:
