Ultimate build. My first ultimate!

Re:

Not much happening.
Fitted xt cranks now, and the wheels are due back soon, DT hugi on mavic 231.

Should look awesome!

Found some silver brake cable 6mm and got to get some old road gear cable as that's what tomac ran, so will be nice to match stem and forks a bit.

Tyres are here, all I need is an 8 speed casette and we are good to go! 8 is not period correct, but I ran 8 speed back in the day with thumbies and their magic hidden 8th click, so a bit of a bid to my past with that little trick.

More pics to follow!

Re:

Andy we need to see more than one picture of this build  ...its a Yeti !

stop holding out on us

Re:

Wheels are back.

Have to admit the cassette is non period, as I plan to ride it a bit and don't want to go to the expense of a good old shimano 8 speed. Hopefully I'll find a new one and keep it for when I'm done riding it.

Wheels on pics tomorrow for those following :)

Re:

So far so good.

DT Hugi rear hub sounds like a machine gun.

Modern bikes just don't have the particular look do they??

What do you guys think? Trying to have it how I would have built it in about 90-91.

Re:

Ultimate's are the best looking e-stay ever, and yours in no exception
love my CO2 e-stay but it ain't no Yeti

still not sure on the colour of stem, but as others have pointed out it matches the fork
