Yes omega is gone and it is now called Enigma .

Omega were good bikes , but they were not doing much MTB .
Yup, ditto Chris. . I think we know the blokes. . .
and also ditto pete_mcc. . . you just can't get away from the US Aero connection. With the end of the cold war, and the blowing of US defence budgets, many US CNC shops diversified into MTB components to keep business alive. There is more than a little conincidence in the end of the cold war, and the 1990's boom in CNC machining and Ti fabrication. Its not easy. Or cheap to practice on, and there are a lot of subtleties to getting a good weld, ambient humdity being one. I'm not making a judgement on any. Ti is the one medium I don't have in the stable. But I'd be careful who I chose. Its unlikely it'd be UK though. .

Omega were a few hundred yards away from where i am working now before they moved to brighton .

always very helpfull .

but looking at the Enigma website , the cheaper models are made in the far east too .

have you checked : www.Skydecomp.com ?

cheaper models are XACD made , but design and finish is very good .
