Ok, was going to add to ededwards current puncture-related thread, but this is getting daft and I really need your thoughts/opinions as I'm starting to go mad.
The night before last I decided that the Zaskar restoration doesn't preclude me from riding the thing whilst I sort out the parts it needs, so fitted a pair of brand new Specialized inner tubes, pumped them up to a lowly 20 psi and went to bed.
Yesterday morning all seemed well, tyres still inflated, no nasty bulges wink: ) but got the bus to work anyway as was otherwise unprepared for the commute.
I come home to find this:
Tyres are newish DMR Motos (I know, I know, not retro ), and like I said, the inner tubes were brand new, boxed, and a half decent brand.
This is driving me mad - do I have garage gremlins that come out when I go to work and slash my tyres, have I somehow found a new way of fitting inner tubes that compromises their integrity?!
Help me, please. Or the Zaskar gets it.
Joe
