Well, just been and bought a new hybrid bike for the girlfriend at the princely cost of £350 so I need to get some of that back. On the block is her beautiful Turner XCE which I built for her and she rode twice....
The paint is a bit dull now but a t-cut and a polish and it should be back, it's a hard powdercoat so should last a while:
The metal work needs a buff (it's been sat unused for two years as we moved house):
The parts are, or were, top line stuff. It has got nibbles and nicks but is in very good condition for the year:
Frame: Turner XCE with new Rock Shox Sid shock
Fork: Maverick SC32
Wheels: Hope mono on Mavic EX19, Maverick on Mavic EX23, Ritchey millennium kevlar
Brakes: Hope Mini with Dangerboy levers
Crank: Race Face with Race Face and Pace rings
Gears and shifters: SRAM X9
Seatpost, stem: Thomson
Bars: answer
Grips: Oury lock-on
It's not perfect, it does need a strip down service as it has sat unused for a while but it is solid and top quality and best of all I just need to get somewhere near £350. At that price it's a great parts donor bike with a free Turner frame thrown in...
My only problem is I've got a nightmare job meaning I never have time to do things, hence breaking this down and selling parts is probably not an easy option so I'd rather sell everything as one.
