Tubing guide for retro bikes?

I've had a look through here but I can't seem to find a guide on tubing for retro MTBs. It would be cool to see a table of all the tubing and they're objective (and perhaps subjective) properties, what brands used which tubing and when, and if that tubing is still obtainable now. I know nothing about tubing and would like to learn, so if something like this please point some resources in my direction!

MTBs used all sorts of tubes, so you have to do a bit of digging in roadie related stuff too: these are useful:
