trim chainring bolts

Got some double chainring bolts id like to use on xtr chainset that use singlr length.

Thinking of taking a strip if steel, drill a hole fit the bolt and sand down to correct length.

Worth the effort or not.?

Bolts are orange so not a common colour, need 8 of them, unless someone knows a cheap source.

Still toying with the idea, mine are alloy so should be able to use a flap wheel to sand them down.

Single bolts are £16 for 5, i meef 2 packs, altrady got 10 doubles for £6.....

Ive done it before, and yep flappy disc is ideal. Dont forget you may need to do both bits of the bolts.
