Whilst I am on a selling spree to make space and fund a new full sus 29er to join my favourite 2 retrobikes I have for sale my commuting bike. Don't let the tag put you off, it's not a run of the mill work bike!
Sling some knobbly tyres on, maybe slot in a pair of RC35's, and you have a lovely light weight XC machine
I bought this bike off here earlier in the year with plans of cycling to work, unfortunately long shifts at all times of the day mean that the car is far more practical. I have heavily upgraded it for function and weight since.
The frame is a 1993 Trek Carbon Composite with alloy lugs and rear stays, size 17".
The forks are PACE RC30's with a 1 1/8" steerer.
The front and rear mechs, V brakes and combined shifter and brake levers are all Shimano XTR M952.
The octalink bottom bracket/ cahinset is Shimano Deore LX.
The chiain is a light weight KMC with a a 9 speed Shimano Hyperglide drilled cassette. There is very minimal wear on the drivetrain.
The seat post is an early Syncros 27.2mm.
The saddle is an original 90's Red lable Flite Titanium.
The stem is a 130mm Sycros ahead type.
Quality Tange Aheadset.
30mm of carbon spacers.
The handlebar is carbon fibre with alloy end plugs and is 580mm long.
The grips are Onza porcipaws.
The wheels are Specialized Stout front hub in black with Mavic X221 rim, radial spokes in black with red alloy nipples.
The rear is a SRAM with black spokes and a black rim.
It comes with Wellgo flat pedals, a Boardman carbon fibre bottle cage.
The tyres will be changes for a pair of new Kenda semi slicks.
I belive it's around the 20Ibs mark in weight.
£550 plus postage.
Please leave a post then PM me if interested. Thank you
