You are lucky - i have!
TOWSEN was founded by Florian Dehnhard and Erich Müller in the early 90s in Dieburg (near Frankfurt), Germany. The frames has been designed by Florian and welded in Russia at a company that was used to build interior for military submarines. The frames came from Russia in raw finish and have been finished and satined in Germany - in case you have a polished one: lucky one - they are really rare. Series products have all been satin finish.
In 98/99 full suspension entered the market and titanium lost its popularity and Florian left TOWSEN to found BERGWERK. Erich continued for one year before he terminated TOWSEN. The TOWSEN frames went through two generations - 1st was with smaller tube diameters, forged dropouts and 1" head tube, 2nd generation was with CNC machined dropouts and 1-1/8". Market price was DM 1.999,- which is more or less 1.000 EUR - i guess there went about 500 - 1000 frames to market - and one MTB-tandem.
cheers, Jolm
