I'll take my place then
A film star ragging a car on two wheels
A Porsche made out of paper and a bike (nuts)
A foppy haired man driving a car that sounds like an angry god at 260mph+ (!)
A mini film about the glory days of F1, showing some of the the best ever cars and drivers doing what they did best
Lewis Hamilton struggling to come to terms with magnitude of getting to grips with one of the best cars ever made.
- don't care about film stars , would rather see someone with some worth .
- how many months ago was the vid from pistonheads posted here with the not actually in any way other than silouette "porche" ? There is also a vid where 4 guys ride through an American city in the shell of an actual buick before being pulled over by the police .
- why have may drive it in the first place when someone else got so much more out of it , the vernon is an ugly ugly car and I don't care if it can do xxx amount of mph on the one of two roads in the world capable of it . ok it's the fasted road car , how about we see it on the road then .
- an hour long motoring magazine program that spent more time with jezza saying he's got a hard on than the one thing worth watching , that was at the end and was just an advert for what I expect will be a dvd . It did pretty much show that modern f1 pales in comparison to the days gone by though , which is nice .
The only thing i agree with was Jezza's perving, which went on..and on...
As for your other points, I think you are missing the point!
The Veyron is FAR from handsome, but it is imposing to say the least, and it looks like it comes from the future (in a good way) And as an engineering feat its fascinating.
TBH all of our roads are restricted to 70mph, so what difference does any cars top speed make?
Its just
interesting
As was seeing a film star, whether you like him or not, rag that car.
interesting
Id be happy to watch any of your idol's (and no, TC is certainly not one of my idols) drive like he did, and id find it interesting and entertaining.
I never saw the Pistonheads vid you mentioned, nor did i really understand your point, but i'll hazzard a guess that 90% of the viewing audience hadnt seen the 'fake' Porche before, like myself. And I found the enginuity, creativity, and daftness...you guessed it....interesting.
Its certainly not the BEST T.V., but its at least remotely entertaining. And its been a long time since I saw anything as good as the Senna section.
Although 'Gazza's tears' got me going!
Come on, take a deep breath and think happy thoughts. Let the love out man. You secretly enjoyed it.
