Today's ride started off so well. Then I saw a trail and thought "Where does that go?"
Answer, the middle of butt #### nowhere with one descent so steep as I tried to walk down it I ended up sliding down it on my backside holding my bike
what goes down must go up, jesus christ 
it was all I could do to push my bike up it, rutted, loose flint and shale. It was lovely. Why didn't I turn back? Don't know, I don't like admitting defeat. Everything ends..

Yesterday I was exploring a "new" bridleway and ended up falling over in a knee deep bog and landing in a patch of nettles.
