Today's Ride

There climbing today, looks quiet for a Saturday.

It was early evening.. my neighbours rode up to Dungworth / High Bradfield in the morning and got home around mid-day complaining about how hot it was so i didn't set off till 4.30 and got home at 7ish, still warm but the Peaks were quiet.. most climbers were packing up and heading home, i did see a few stragglers from a fell running race coming down Stanage, numbers on their bibs, red faces 😁

..^^i was riding down the trail around the perimeter of the Burbage valley, just about to take a right before heading over the bridge and up to Carl Wark when my laces got snagged up between the chain and chainrings but because i was peddaling, it all got tangled / torn up, i stopped at that junction, took my shoe off and was trying to cut through the laces like a neanderthal with a rock.. i asked a passing walker if he had a penknife, he saw the bike and started quoting Pace history "i remember the RC100 coming out in the late 80s.. grounbreaking it was.. MBUK.. ect" the retro-nerds are still out there people.. his wife glazed over. 😁
