Quick spin, photo shortly before realizing the sound of metal rubbing I'd heard at the start of the ride wasn't the rotor pinging the caliper but infact the sound of what I can only assume was rear hub bearings being in places they shouldn't
Today’s ride was one of those ones that you have to get out the house because the mood and vibe is off. Clear the mind, a quick spin, avoid mondeo man turning across you when you’re clearly dangling your arm to turn left, type ride.
I fixed this up last night, last time out, it started making crunchy gear noises coming back from Richmond park (loose chainring bolt). As for the ride, the down hill bit was great, the uphills not great and the less said for the ford driver the better…
Got back, made coffee and the vibe is better, so glad i went out. TIW
Quite grey, quite cold, very November. Recovering from a cold and feeling a bit lacklustre, I wasn't sure about going for a ride today, but I was tempted by a route recommended by a local YouTuber and went for it. The route lived up to its promise and I felt much better afterwards. Win, win!
One of my local loops today, in the foothills of the Pyrenees, 60k with 625m ascent shared among 4 hills. Just went out with the intention of having a pootle but was seduced by mood and attacked all the climbs with good results.
Sunday morning, very light ESE breeze 5-6 mph, touch cooler at 10 degrees. Solid grey skies. Took a side road I'd forgotten about and remembered The Bunker was nearby. We might need to knock on the door and hope we can use it later this week...at least they've unlocked the padlock
This morning, exact repeat of the weather. A solid way to start the week
If ever anyone needs some motivation to ride they just need to look at this thread, I love seeing the variety of places we all get to. Been off the bike due to hols for a couple of weeks, hopefully back out on Friday for blast!
