Today's Ride

Never cycled there but visited. Fascinating place, some parts were like they had just stopped working and walked out the day before. Locker rooms were a treasure trove of retro stickers on the doors!

It's had a refresh I believe, so if you like that sort of thing, probably worth another visit...and defo bring a bike. Loads of good riding to be had and at least 2 Rbers houses you can stalk/have a cuppa

Some kind of prologue today Avignon to Cavaillon. Mistral almost blowing you off the road.

What a morning for it. Crisp 10-11 degrees, 7-8 in the dips. Light 8-9mph E breeze. Blue skies and super-golden sunshine-rise

A bit damp on top but perfect conditions really and I even managed an early morning @raidan73 spotted

Was heading south to Brignoles today. Nice varied ride on french country roads, not too much traffic, through some lovely villages. Some long climbs I didn't expect but all doable

My colnago took me back through a timeslip to around 1990.

One pump still using red LED display.
New brake blocks allowing confidence on the long smooth(ish) descent to usk after a long climb up through Wentwood

Somewhat uninspiring photos today but was a lovely easy ride from St Ives in to Cambridge and back, taking in a couple of cake stops! It’s amazing what a difference being in a cycle orientated place can make.
