Today's Ride

Sunny and warm today, really nice relaxed ride. Set off with a route in mind but took wrong turning in housing estate and ended up finding a track through the woods that brought me out waaay in the wrong place. Decided to carry on the long way instead of turning back. Good choice, into the sun all the way back to pick up the original trail.

Great ride

Icy cold wind today when i set off, once warmed up though it was a perfect day.

Ended up doing a 2 1/2 hour loop which is good for me at moment, my legs were starting to pack up on the last climb towards home though :)

Only took a few pics near the begining of the ride as i ended up enjoying the riding so much i didnt stop. Riding trails and tracks i havent for over 20yrs, kind of sureal.

Mild day today, easy ride as legs were still feeling yesterday. Rode some trails that again i havent been on for over 20yrs, through some of the woods now known as Sherwood Pines, even though i stay off the made trails and on the natural singletrack.

It was a bit of a slog back along, down and up roads, i think my legs knew we were heading home so started relaxing, a bit too early.

Another nice ride, albiet a bit tiring.

Warm day today.

Had planned on resting today. With all the Kona Kilauea's popping up lately i decided to get mine out to blow the cobwebs off and change levers and grips. It was so warm on the back garden that i decided to go for a quick ride instead :)

Lovely day, if anything too warm on the climbs but perfect on the top just cruising around.

Took it easy, great ride on a beautiful day.

Lovely sunny day again today, with a nice cool breeze. Need to start taking shades and not wearing coat and winter gloves.

Took a ride out to Hardwick Hall today, off road pretty much all the way from mine. Ended up stoping at a few benches for the sun and views.

Sun, roots, more sun and views, great ride.

Re:

@ mkone - very jealous of your rides last week, they look great. Weather was beautiful and I was absolutely itching to get out myself. Unfortunately work commitments + refurb work at home over the weekend put a stop to that!

Re:

Today is actually my first ride since Pat’s passing. Stopped and spent a few silent minutes listening to the woods and paying my respects.

Just echoing THM's sentiments, my first ride for a while as well.

Early morning ride in deepest Sussex.

Re:

Perhaps, collectively and individually, we could pay our respects on 01 June (posted by Jess, one of Pat's daughters):

Hello to friends of Patrick Reddix:

Our Family has rescheduled Pat's Celebration Of Life and Memorial Party to Saturday, June 1st., (6/01/2019) and it will be held at the Lake Lagunitas picnic area in Fairfax. The celebration will commence at twelve noon and go until 5 p.m. Jessica Reddix will give the eulogy for her dad around 3 p.m. Our family will, of course, welcome everyone with: barbecue burgers, barbecue meatless burgers, chicken, and refreshments of water, lemonade, beer, and wine. Please bring your pot luck side dishes and other drinks etc. that you'd like to share as well. Kindly spread the word to any of Pat's friends you can think of. It's going to be a memorable celebration and a time for reflection, stories, laughs, humor and kinship in remembering Pat Reddix and the love, smiles and friendship he brought to us All
Our family is very much Looking forward to seeing you!
